‘SUPER HIGH PERFORMANCE BLENDS SUPER LUXURY’ Challenging the rules and standing out from the crowd, the new XFR fuses sports car styling and high-performance with the refinement and sophistication of a luxury sedan. It is a defining example of Jaguar’s dedication to creating beautiful fast cars-and with a magnificent new engine, that are quite simply the best ever setting new standards across the board. When it was introduced last year, the all-new XFR was soon recognized as a dramatic expression of a bold new Jaguar design language. It also soon became apparent that here as a car where the driving experience exceeded the expectations created by the striking exterior styling. Now, the new XFR takes this driving experience to new levels, shifting the balance even further towards dynamic super high performance while still retaining the XF’s core values as a refined and luxurious sports sedan.

The new 2010 Audi S4 sedan benefits not only from the new A4’s longer wheelbase and wider track increasing both ride comfort and high speed stability, but the new S4 also benefits from the new 3.0 liter DOHC, FSI direct fuel injected supercharged engine with dual intercoolers. This lighter V6 engine generates 333hp at 6,500-7,000rpm and 325lb.ft. of torque at 2,900-5,300rpm. This smaller lighter engine enables the new S4 to accelerate to 60mph in just 4.9sec. with either the standard 6-speed manual, or the optional 7-speed dual-clutch S-Tronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters on the steering column. To increase acceleration, make quicker gear changes and enhance handling performance you can shift the gated shifter from Drive into Sport. The new S4 is fun and thrilling to drive, either around slow moving city traffic, on the open road at high speeds or when challenging steep turns on the back roads. In just 0.2sec you can change gears, up or down, to make the most of the new supercharged engine. Just a quick tap and you are on your on your way to excitement and thrills that Audi delivers

Ever have one of those “WTF” kinda days? Well, that would be me today after I get the announcement for one of the winners of 2010 North American Car & Truck of the Year. Enough about me, the winners are the 2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid and the 2010 Ford Transit Connect. Last year I was cool with the decision to crown the Hyundai Genesis and Ford F-150 as I was in previous years. Okay, great, excellent vehicles. My only gripe this year would be the Ford Transit Connect.

Essentially this new VW compact coupe is a two-door version of the Jetta. Shown here are newly released photos of a new Volkswagen Compact Coupe Concept debuting at the Detroit Auto Show. The new 2010 TSX V6 can go toe-to-toe with the top sports sedans in it class. Matched with 18in. wheels and a revised suspension, the TSX V6 is proof positive that a smart vehicle choice doesn’t have to be a boring vehicle choice. Designed as a desirable choice for entry-level luxury sport sedan buyers, the second generation TSX is larger, more agile; more performance oriented and even ‘ more Acura ’ than ever before. The latest has evolved to offer more comfort, convenience and safety. It does so with expanded luxury and electronic features, a wider stance for more agile handling and advanced safety systems

The all-new 2010 Mercedes-Benz E-550 sporty luxury sedan breaks new safety and design barriers to become one of the market’s best engineered and smartest sedans, a definite ‘trend setter’. This all-new E-Class model is the ninth-generation of this highly successful model line with a total of more than 10-million produced over the past 60-years. The design of the new E-Class sedan begins with a ‘cubist’ treatment of the trademark M-B twin-headlight face. Two parallelogram white LED lights are recessed into the front fenders, bracketing the three-dimensional frame of the front grille. The overall body shape features a sophisticated interplay between line and surfaces. Taut, clearly defined lines help define large concave and convex surfaces. In particular, a graceful line follows each rear wheel-well and shapes the muscular contours of the rear fenders. The new car looks futuristic in many respects and is the world’s most aerodynamic sedan with a co-efficient of drag of just 0.25 giving back better fuel economy and less wind noise. The car is available with four engine choices, the standard is the E350 liter with a 3.5 liter V6 making 268hp, the E550 comes with a 5.5 liter V8 making 382hp, the E350 BlueTEC comes with an innovative V6 turbodiesel that makes 210hp. The high-performance E63 AMG is fitted with a 518hp 6.3 liter V8. Any new E-Class is fun and easy to drive whether in sport or luxury trim. All luxury models come with a comfort suspension while the sport models are fitted with a sport-tuned suspension that has stiffer shocks and springs as well as a slightly lower ride height

Love it or hate it, this is really it, the new 2011 Hyundai Sonata. We have witnessed several renditions of what the new Hyundai Sonata would look like and some of them were not off by far. The new stylish design resembles that of a VW Passat CC or even the Benz CLS with roof lines that mimic a coupe. Visually the car looks totally different from one end to the other. Hyundai is no longer the “el-cheapo” car from Korea (same goes for the sister nameplate Kia), it is the one that gives Toyota’s Camry and Honda’s Accord a run for their money in more ways than just the 10-year powertrain warranty. The 2011 Hyundai Sonata does not just go up against the normal run-of-the-mill Camry or Accord

I always had a thing for big Audi’s ever since I saw the Audi S8 in the movie ‘Ronin’. I thought it was just the coolest thing to see a big car perform like a smaller one. The movie makers later introduced a newer A8 in the movies ‘Transporter 2′ and ‘ Transporter 3 ‘. That really did it in for me. And now, the all new 2011 Audi A8 is revealed and it still grabs my attention. Audi has kept the new 2011 A8 in its classic form with a few softer edges added to the design

A major highlight for this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show is undoubtedly the new 2011 Mustang V6 that pumps out an astonishing 305 horsepower while getting 30 miles per gallon on the highway. Those figures are unheard of especially when it comes to a vehicle in the same class as the infamous Mustang, Camaro and even Dodge Challenger. Ford has spared no expense in proving that they have something “serious” to offer the automotive consumer. From the most fuel efficient midsized hybrid ( Motor Trend’s car of the year ) on the road to one of the post powerful naturally aspirated V6 engines you can buy for the money, Ford is literally kicking a$$ and taking names.

The all-new 2010 Lexus HS250h hybrid will keep more of your money in your pockets as you pass gas stations, and will also have you seated in a Lexus with all of the luxury, convenience and safety that you expect from a Lexus. The Lexus HS250h is the first luxury hybrid to achieve an EPA Estimated Rating of 35mpg combined and is the first luxury car to come standard with a supplemental restraint system with 10 airbags. Hybrid efficiency is at the core of the new HS250h and Lexus’s first four-cylinder gas engine and latest hybrid system take advantage of the company’s continuous engineering advances to maximize fuel economy, minimize emissions and deliver driving pleasure. A highly efficient engine design, an exhaust heat recovery system, major efforts to reduce parasitic losses, a new evaporative emissions system and driver-selectable driving modes all make notable contributions. Significant efforts were also made to minimize engine noise. An Atkinsion-cycle engine design was chosen for its high efficiency and compatibility with hybrid operation in the new HS. The twin-cam engine uses four-valves per cylinder and Variable Valve Time with Intelligence on the intake side. The engine is undersquare, with an 88.5mm bore diameter and 96mm stroke, and has a relatively high compression ratio of 12.5:1. Peak output equals 147hp and in combination with the hybrid drive motor, the HS generates 187 total system horsepower. That is the most of any other dedicated hybrid motor.
