The simple formula to making a car fast by making it incredibly light weight has been used by the best of them including Lamborghini. Recently Lamborghini took that concept to new heights in their new Sesto Elemento Concept (Sesto Elemento means Sixth Element). Weighing in at a featherweight 2,202 pounds and incorporating the same V10 engine and all-wheel-drive system from the Lamborghini LP570-4 Superleggera, the Sixth Element Concept is able to run 0 to 62mph in 2.5 seconds and top out at over 217mph. You may be wondering why they call it Sesto Elemento or ‘Sixth Element’? That’s easy, the sixth element on the periodic table is Carbon.
